Moyo is a traditional village centred on the palace of the Chieftainess with a population of 4,911. It’s an outstation of Namushakende. It’s the centre for a new civic district – Nalolo District and lies about 40 km from Mongu. Action Aid works there on the issues of women’s rights. There is no religious presence on the site with a small catholic community (100 people). There is the possibility of temporary accommodation and land for construction. Water, transport and other services are available. There is a vibrant team of White Fathers who service the parish from Namushakende. There is a health clinic and both a primary and secondary school. Great poverty in the area where almost 2,000 people receive monetary aid.
