Senanga is on the banks of the Zambezi river about 106 km from Mongu (almost two hours by car). The district of Senanga has a population of 109,119 people with the population of the town coming to 10,005 people. The Catholic community is very vibrant and takes initiative in many sectors. They are also willing both to work and learn and are very keen that we establish a community there. The Capuchins and the Handmaids of the Blessed Virgin Mary have communities in the village. All the facilities are there with very good Internet connection. There is a large compound nearby with adequate space for housing. Many of the parishioners come from the Katuya compound that has a population of around 3,000 people. There is also a nursing school recently built and ready for action.
